February 21, 2008 Teachers making poor decisions
I'm not sure if it is a trend right now, or if children and the media are blowing things out of proportion, but it seems a lot of professional teachers are making poor decisions in the conduct with their students. Recently, a Moon Phys Ed teacher resigned and then accused of sexual misconduct with a student, of which there was proof. Now I open up the newspaper this morning to find a SV instructor accused of the same thing. Is this a trend? Or has this kind of thing been going on forever, but never being talked about? Yikes!

I heard about that Moon teacher too! That is terrible that some teachers would think that is ok to engage in such activities with their students! I know I have heard about this type of thing happening a few times before. Hopefully this type of behavior stops. I can't imagine the type of person that would think that that is ok.
I definitely agree with you that multiple teachers are making very poor decisions in the conduct with their students! Sometimes I wonder what is going through their head! Moon isn't that far from my hometown, which is really scary. This is giving teachers a very bad reputation, and something needs to be done about it. It's becoming such a common thing to turn on the news and hear about a teacher becoming sexually involved with a student. Unfortunately, I don't see this behavior diminishing anytime in the near future.
Some teachers do not have their heads on straight. I would like to know who the SV teacher was because when I went there, a couple of the teachers use to date the female students as soon as they graduated from high school. I have an idea of some of the teachers that may have been accused. Dating is crazy these days. People do not care how old their companion is, or whether the age difference is dramatic.
It seems like everyone is doing it these days and not just teachers. Most recently the governor of NY resigned because he was caught using money to have an affair with his wife on call girls. It's kind of sick that the people go out and do things like this when most of them are married and have a family.
